Romain Gasmi (born 15 February 1987 in Lyon, Rhône-Alpes) is a French footballer of Algerian descent currently playing for Thai Division 1 League side Bangkok United
On 1 September 2008, Gasmi joined Southampton on a season long loan, with a view to a permanent deal.[3] He went on to make his debut coming on as substitute for David McGoldrick in the goalless home draw against Plymouth Argyle. He played for RC Strasbourg in the French Ligue2.
In 2011, Romain Gasmi joins Thai Division 1 League which is a 2nd tier Division side Bangkok United. He plays as a attacking midfielder who has scored with Bangkok United 14 goals in 2011. He is now the Third Top scorer in Thailand Division1
